I'm having trouble capturing an enemy. Edit

See: All about pets

Enemies with lower health are easier to Capture. A nice trick is to use poison on them -- it will slowly whittle away their health, but it cannot actually kill them. Make sure you are using the Capture command on the creature again every turn until they have reached your side of the screen, and eliminate any unwanted enemies before trying to Capture -- they will interrupt you if they attack you.

How do I take care of my Pet? Edit

See: All about pets

Pets all have favorite and disliked foods depending primarily on their Family. Regularly feeding your pet, particularly with foods that they like, will keep their Loyalty and Mood high, which is important in their performance in combat and combination.

Loyalty can also be increased by levelling and with certain foods. If the player character gains a level, the pet will gain 5 loyalty, while the pet itself levelling will add 10. Favorite foods generally add 1 loyalty for each serving, but under certain conditions can add more.

Pets will eventually die from old age. They can be kept alive longer with proper care.

When in battle, a pet may faint if its health falls below 0. It will still be alive, but its loyalty will decrease significantly.

How do I make my character? Edit

Ultimately, the choice is yours. However, there are a few key points:

  • Placing all of your points into a single statistic is generally a very bad idea. The four statistics all play large roles in combat, and it is advised to raise at least two of them.
  • It is a good idea to look at items' level and statistic requirements (such as on this Wiki), and raise statistics accordingly so that these can be used as soon as possible.
